Development update


New in this version (1.1)


Weapons:
  • 2 starting weapons now repell and/or possess 
  • 1 new weapon - "The Possessifier"
  • much better firestorm - realistic explosions and leaves flames on the ground
  • better lightning cast sprites and weapon hud using 32bit png images
Graphics:
  • new dynamic lighting and GL effects
  • new 1080p title screen 
  • new explosions, special effects, and weapon sprites
  • different color blood for different monsters
  • voxels (3d pixels) from The Voxel Project

Marines:
  • 4 new marines (chainsaw marine, stealth knife marine, chaingun marine, double rocket marine)
  • new burning death sequence/fire damage
  • some are possessed, others are used to summon monsters in their place
  • can now kill or possess marines; killing them stops them shooting at you but possessing them takes their lifeforce for your health and souls for your weapons, and turns them against the other marines to fight for you.
Player:
  • now impervious to fire and radiation/sector damage
  • new taunts
  • new blur effect when in pain, dynamic light when shooting
  • view height is taller
  • can pass through objects but not walls
Gameplay
  • dead flying monsters drop a powerup to enable flight (ie wings of wrath)
  • stealth monsters or marines drop a powerup to enable partial invisibility (ie blursphere)

Still to come - and you can help!:
  • replace doom gore decorations with living marines
  • impale dead bodies etc to become the doom gore decorations
